Charlotte's Web

Our review
A girl named Fern saves a tiny pig called Wilbur. When Wilbur learns he may be killed for food, a spider named Charlotte weaves words into her web to save him. The movie shows what a true friend gives up for someone she loves. There are a few burp and gas jokes, and Charlotte dies at the end, which is sad. It is a gentle movie for the whole family. Charlotte's Web is a quiet story about a friend who spends her life for another and asks nothing back. The Catholic classification is general patronage, and the content is as mild as it gets: barnyard gas jokes and one 'bloody.' The one thing to frame is that the town calls the web a miracle without a word about who works miracles.
For parents
All ages per the Catholic classification. Sensitive little ones may cry when Charlotte dies, so sit close. Ask: what did Charlotte give up for Wilbur, and how does that echo John 15:13? The town calls the web a miracle. Who really works miracles? CCC 548 says they are signs from God that invite faith. Fern lies to her teacher and talks back to her father. Was there a better way to stand up for Wilbur?
