Cilla Lee-Jenkins: Future Author Extraordinaire

Our review
A warm, funny family story about a girl who fears a new baby will push her out. The heart is good: parents who love her, grandparents from two cultures who learn to come together, and a big sister who makes room. No review we read mentions God or faith. We could not check the full text, so a parent should skim it before handing it over.
For parents
Read it aloud from 6, and a child can read it alone from about 8. School Library Journal places it at grades 3 to 5. Ask Cilla's question: will a new baby take my place? Talk about how love in a family grows instead of being split. Ask how Cilla answers rude questions about her looks, and why every person bears God's image.
