Coyote vs. Acme
Acceptable with guidance. Age: 13+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.
Our review
A big-hearted Looney Tunes romp about never giving up. Coyote keeps going after every crash, and Kevin learns that trying beats hiding from failure. The cartoon mayhem is harmless. The reservation is the extras: jokes about characters without pants, a man huffing glue, mild swearing, and a few misuses of God's name, including the name of Jesus. OSV says teens and up; younger kids need a parent's word first.
For parents
OSV News rates it for adults and adolescents; Common Sense Media says 7 and up. Many families will watch with younger kids after a word about the language. Talk about the Second Commandment and why Jesus' name is never an exclamation. Ask: why does Coyote keep trying? What happens to a friendship when a secret comes out?
