Forgotten Island

Our review
The friendship at the center is real. Jo lies, owns it, apologizes and gives up her memories so Raissa can go home. But the film treats demons as friends who turn good, presents folk spirits as real and powerful, and plays a gag where a picture of Jesus stays silent. For a child, that is a picture of the spiritual world we cannot let stand.
For parents
Not for young children; OSV rates it for adults and adolescents, and the flying demon frightens. If your child asks, explain that demons are fallen angels who never become friends, and that Jesus is alive and hears us. Ask: did Jo need a charm or a bargain, or did she need to tell the truth?
