Our review
Dr. Kimble is a doctor who is blamed for a crime he did not do. He escapes and looks for the real bad man while a smart marshal chases him. Even while he is running, he stops to help people who are hurt. This movie has scary fights and rough words, so it is for teens and grown-ups. This is a chase film where both the hunted man and the hunter are decent and good at their work. Kimble risks capture again and again to treat the injured, and he wins with patience and brains more than force. Expect a frightening home murder shown in flashes, shootings, a stabbing, bloody fist fights, and steady locker-room profanity with no F-words.
For parents
PG-13. Common Sense Media says 13 and up, and Greydanus at Decent Films says Teens & Up. That is right. The murder of Kimble's wife returns in flashbacks and will upset younger viewers. Things to frame: Christian Spotlight lists what Kimble does on the run: he steals clothes, food, money, a vehicle and a hospital ID, lies, and breaks into a suspect's home. The reviewer is right that this is not model behavior, even for an innocent man with no other road. Talk about whether need excuses it. Ask: why does Kimble stop to help hurt people when it could get him caught? The marshal's job is to catch him, not to judge the case. Is that enough for a man of the law? Kids-In-Mind lists corruption in the medical industry as a theme. What does the film say about greed?
