Our review

Lady is a gentle dog who lives in a happy home. When a new baby comes, things change, and she meets a street dog named Tramp. Tramp learns to be brave for others, and he risks himself to keep the baby safe. A gentle classic with a sound heart. A carefree drifter learns that love means staying, protecting and belonging to a family. The home with the new baby is shown as a good and happy place. Content is very mild. The Siamese cats are an ugly caricature and deserve a word from you.

For parents

G-rated. Common Sense Media says 5+. The Raising Children Network advises against it for under 5 and suggests guidance from 5 to 7. The rat is menacing, and Tramp kills it on screen without blood. Lady is muzzled, chased by snarling dogs and locked in the pound. An old dog is hit by the dogcatcher's wagon and seems dead, then lives. Romance is one spaghetti kiss, a night out under the stars, talk of Tramp's old girlfriends and puppies at the end. There is no bad language. The Siamese cats mock Asian people with slanted eyes and broken English. Tell your children plainly that it is wrong to make fun of how people look or speak, because every person is made by God. Ask: why was Lady sad when the baby came? What changed Tramp? What does it mean to be loyal?
