Our review

These are gentle stories about a small girl who is trusted with small jobs and does them cheerfully. A home with three generations under one roof is the quiet center. No source reports anything harsh or rude. The one reservation is that the goodness is natural and domestic only. No fetched source reports any prayer or church life in the stories.

For parents

Read aloud from 4, independent reading from 7. Good Books for Catholic Kids lists it as a read-aloud for 6 to 7. Each story takes a few minutes. Ask which virtue Milly-Molly-Mandy showed in tonight's story. Ask what errand your child could be trusted with this week.
