Propeller One-Way Night Coach
Caution. Age: 13+. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.
Our review
This looks like a sweet kids' movie about a boy who loves airplanes, so read this first. The wonder and the kind flight attendants are real goods. But the boy's mother drinks and smokes constantly, lies to look important, and slips off to a married man's room, and the film treats all of it as charming nostalgia. The boy copies her lies, and the story's warm glow falls on all of it.
For parents
If your child is asking to see this airplane movie, wait until the teen years and watch together. The affair is implied, not shown, and the film barely treats it as wrong. Ask: why did Helen need so much attention? Who in the story was kind, and how? Was Jeff's fib about Paul Newman harmless?
