Ted Lasso
Not recommended. A Catholic review of this show for parents.
Our review
Ted's kindness is real: he answers contempt with patience, puts his son first and makes peace among rivals. But the show surrounds that goodness with constant f-words, misuse of God's name, phone sex played for laughs, and a bisexual lead whose relationships are presented as good. That last point crosses a line that by itself makes a title Not recommended, so the warm heart does not save the series.
For parents
For adults only. It is TV-MA, and Common Sense Media says 14+. Season 4's first episode alone has five f-words, God's name misused six times, Jesus' name once and a Zoom sex call. If teens have seen clips, ask: where does Ted's kindness come from? What does the Church teach about chastity (CCC 2337)?
