That They May Be One

2026 · Dan Johnson, Adriana Gonzalez · Christian docudrama

Acceptable with guidance. Age: All ages. A Catholic review of this movie for parents.

Our review

A clean, prayerful film about Christ's own prayer that His followers be one, with St. Elena Guerra and Pope Leo XIII in the story and Christian leaders from several denominations on screen. It can stir real longing for unity. Parents should add what the film may leave out: unity is not friendship alone, and the one Church of Christ subsists in the Catholic Church.

For parents

Clean for any age, though its talk and history suit teens and adults best. Ask: what did Jesus pray for the night before He died? Why does the Church pray for Christian unity? What did St. Elena Guerra ask the Pope to do, and why does the Catholic Church matter to unity?
